Making some photographs along the California coastline just north of Santa Cruz. I consider this area to be one of the most beautiful natural playgrounds on earth and I could spend years of my life doing work here.
Driftwood At The End Of The World
It’s always a wonderful experience to get to the end of an incredibly long hike and to find a natural monument at the end. In this case I was in Southern Oregon exploring the dunes when the trail led me to a massive piece of driftwood washed up along the Pacific shoreline.
David Lynch Mural, SE Portland
I’m a big admirer of the late film director David Lynch. I’m also a supporter of public murals. Using the city of Portland as a canvas for art is possibly the best way to bring people together and create a sense of shared space. A large mural of David Lynch was recently unveiled on the inner east side.
Morning Fog On Film
Photographing the morning fog with one of my favorite people to collaborate with. There is something magical in the fog. The way it absorbs the sound of the camera shutter and makes everything seem so peaceful and still. Truly one of my favorite environments to capture on film.

When The Camera Becomes A Prop
It is a bit of a cliche for photographers to hand their camera to a model and photograph them making an image back at you. Pretty much every fashion photographer, portrait photographer, and figure study photographer has done it. I am by no means an exception here. I’ve done it plenty. In fact, I’ve done it a lot!!
